Today the international version of the game was updated to add a limited time Pick-Up Capsule! It will only be available for 4 days and includes a brand new Tsum exclusive to the Pick-Up Capsule: Arlo!
For those of you who aren't familiar with the game's Pick-Up Capsules, for the next four days there will be a new option when you go to buy a box. In addition to the normal there is an option to buy a "Pick-Up" Capsule for 30,000 coins.
When you go to click the Pick-Up Capsule option you will be presented with a machine that looks like a gumball machine with a bunch of characters inside (if you already have that character at max skill level they will be replaced by a premium ticket)
Once you buy a capsule you will get a bigger version of the gumball machine. When you click on the screen the characters/balls will start spinning around and a random one will be selected (which will be the one you get). When you get a capsule it is removed from the machine completely meaning if you buy another capsule there will only be 14 capsules left in the machine instead of the original 15. The number of capsules will keep decreasing until you have bought all 15.
If you buy all 15 you will get a bonus skill ticket!
What is different this time is that a brand new character is available via the Pick-Up Capsule: Arlo from The Good Dinosaur! He is exclusive to the pick-up capsule so you can't get him via the normal Premium box.
What makes this annoying is that there are only 3 Arlos available which will only skill him up to skill level 2 with 50% of the way towards skill level 3. The only way to increase his skill level beyond that is via skill tickets. You would think that he would require less skill tickets to level him up but no, going from level 2 to 3 takes 2 skill tickets (or 1 plus the 3rd pick-up capsule Arlo), going from level 3 to 4 takes 4 skill tickets, 4 to 5 takes 8 skill tickets, and 5 to 6 takes 16 skill tickets! Since skill tickets are pretty hard to come by it is incredibly difficult to max out his skill level.
So knowing this you would think that *maybe* his skill would be more powerful than most since it is so hard to increase his skill level, but no, sadly he is a pretty average Tsum.

So it is basically a Pixar Pick-Up Capsule... luckily most of these characters are pretty good!
So now back to Arlo's skill. His skill is fairly unique. You draw a line across the screen and Arlo will follow that line clearing Tsum Tsums but also Spot will appear and mirror the line that Arlo follows clearing Tsums as well. So for example if you start Arlo in the bottom middle and make a half circle up and to the right, Spot will start in the top middle and make a half circle and go down and to the left (so far we seem to have the best luck with a half circle). As I said already his skill is ok but not great. Since we had a bunch of skill tickets from the Star Wars event we were able to get him to level 5 and he normally clears between 24-29 Tsum Tsums... not bad but not great... especially considering how hard it is to get him to skill level 5!
